Advanced Office Technology
The Eye MDs provides the most advanced vision technology available today to ensure our patients receive the best treatment possible.  The Galelei G4 Advanced Cornea Analyzer and IOLMaster System are just two tools that The Eye MDs use to help our patients receive accurate, specialized treatments that yield results.  Learn more about The Eye MDs’ advanced technology below.
Galelei G4 Advanced Cornea Analyzer
We strive to provide patients the most accurate and effective eye care possible with minimum discomfort.  Having the most advanced instruments onsite improves the way we evaluate, diagnose and treat our patients.  We have one of the most advanced corneal analysis systems in the region; our GALILEL G4 corneal analyzer is used to provide detailed corneal measurements for cataract surgery and laser vision correction.  From lasers and ultrasound technology to cutting-edge software, our instruments are truly state-of-the-art because you deserve the best.
Galelei G2
The GALILEI™ Dual Scheimpflug Analyzer is a high precision optical system for corneal topography and three dimensional analysis of the cornea based on a revolving dual-channel Scheimpflug camera and a Placido Disk. GALILEI™ combines the advantages of two technologies: Placido imaging furnishes high accuracy curvature data and Scheimpflug imaging is responsible for capturing precise elevation data.
The precision measurements provided by the GALILEI help guide or plans for astigmatism reduction and implant selection for cataract patients.
Laser vision correction patients are evaluated by this device to help determine if they are a good candidate for laser vision correction, and which procedure may be best for the them (PRK or LASIK).
ZEISS IOLMaster SystemNon-Contact Device Used for Extremely Accurate Measurements Used in Intraocular Lens Power Calculations
The Eye MDs is pleased to offer the new IOL master technology for extremely accurate measurement of the axial length used for intraocular lens power calculations (the custom power of the implant for an individual’s eye).
This device uses partial coherence interferometry to measure the length of the eye (as opposed to standard ultrasound measurements). It has an accuracy of +/- 0.02 mm or better!  This represents a fivefold increase in measurement accuracy when compared to standard A-scan ultrasound (which has a resolution of +/- 0.1 to 0.12 mm).
Additionally, this device is non-contact, thus eliminating inaccuracies introduced by even small amounts of corneal compression induced by A-scan measurement probes.  It also calculates anterior chamber depth, keratometry and the standard deviation of multiple readings (a sign of how accurate the individual’s testing results are).
We have invested in this new technology because we feel it will improve our ability to calculate implant powers with even greater accuracy!  This helps our cataract surgical patients have better distant vision without glasses by improving our accuracy in choosing the best implant for the patient’s eye.
We are truly committed to continual improvement in our surgical technology.
Dr. David George, Dr. Scott Strickler and Dr. Zane Lazer pioneered small incision cataract surgery with foldable implants here in the mid-Ohio Valley.  They are also experienced in doing astigmatic reductions for patients who would benefit by such a reduction in astigmatism.

The Eye MDs offer the very latest cataract treatment techniques with no-needle, no-stitch and no patch topical cataract surgery. This "World Class Surgical Care" is performed at our ambulatory surgery center so a hospital admission is not required. We offer many intraocular lens implant options to customize and optimize patient outcomes. With Advance Technology Implants patients can achieve a much broader range of focus.
LASIK is an abbreviation for Laser in situ keratomileusis and is performed to correct nearsightedness, far sightedness or astigmatism. The Eye MDs use the latest technology to ensure the best results possible. We use the VISX Star S4 IR Excimer laser and CustomeVue wavefront treatments to create a custom treatment that is very precise and specific to the eye, analogous to the specificity of an individual’s fingerprint.
The Eye MDs' Laser Eyelid Surgery can address many of the problems caused by early aging. There are several new techniques available for freshening the area around your eyes. Laser Eyelid Surgery can remove excess skin, remove bulging fatty pouches below the eyes, and erase some of the wrinkles that have formed.
